my new custom made loop bumper bra!!

Post by 1971SSP » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:45 am

I talked about having this made a few years ago, and I know a few of you wanted to see it. FINALLY this week it all came together. A guy I know who does interior work, hand made this custom bra for my car. I brought my 71 Sebring Plus over to his house Sunday, and it took another five hours of making sure it fit just right, the bra was on and off around seven times. The bumper needto be adjusted a little. It wraps around all the chrome tight, and the inside grille area is a sturdy mesh material. Its pretty cool, and it looks GREAT, and the bonus is no more bugs & shit getting inside my engine compartment. I had to down size the files, and I just took these quickly a few hours after getting home.

Nice! Any chance he'd use yours as a pattern for more for sort of a "production run"?

I can tell you it wasn't cheap...several hours of work, not like running to the store and getting a 97 Camero bra....LOL...

Bruce, I thought about the same thing....I really wonder how many people would be interested in one.

Wow, now if I can get one I won't have to repaint or rechrome my front bumper.
I'd be interested in one.
I'm seriously considering it. On my budget rechroming is out and far down my list of priorities for my car.
