Wiring 72 RR

Could someone please tell me what color the wire is for the tach when it comes through the fire wall? replaced the tach board in my dash but could not figure which color was the correct wire. The guy that owned it before me put one on top of the dash and I am looking forward to replacing that eye sore.

should be gray and it goes thru a rubber grommet in the firewall!
