Im looking at picking up a 71 SSP. $1500 and a unknown amount for hauling to a place in which it can be picked up by a trucker and hauled down to Minnesota. Here are a few pics....

The roof is the thing that has issues.....snow loads have damaged the roof....dont know to what extent though....I do have access to a 72 Satellite that was wrecked over 20 years ago and is rotted....the roof may be salvageable to save this one....some must die so that others may live once again....

A good body guy should be able to shrink the roof panel and those dents should pop back into place.
Looks decent- sitting pretty low though- how does the frame and floors look?

4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

SSP
It kinda looks like my car. If you don't get it, I'll bet it sits in the same spot for the next several years. Nothing like trying to waves CASH in his face. Make it all 20's so it looks like more. It does look very solid. Keep on him, maybe one day he will need the money. Life is all about timing.

Don't give up if that is the car you really want. The orange Satellite that I have, my Dad had been trying to buy since the early 80's. We finally got it bought last year. So don't give up!!
I would suggest going by and asking about the car on a regular basis. Not so often that it is a pain to the current owner, but often enough to show that you really want the car. Right around Christmas time when money is tight and the end of summer vacation time is a good time to show the current owner some money.

1971 Satellite Sebring Plus - EV2 / V1W / P6XW Not very nice but it is still wearing original paint and hose clamps!!

The only problem with being persistant on it, is:
1. Right now its about 300 or so miles away from me.
2. In about 2-3 weeks, we are leaving state.
3. Since I didn't get this, I spent money on a new toy....a 92 Harley Davidson FXR....His loss, my gain....hopefully the car will get fixed up though and not spend the rest of its life sitting and being abused due to neglect....
