Arm Rest Pads

Post by 72GY9Runner » Tue Apr 24, 2007 4:47 pm

Just was wondering how many of you had purchased the new arm rest pads that Year One/Legendary are selling. I ended up buying one replacement from Year One, cuz they were to first to get it in stock.

Am I the only one that is mildly disappointed in the quality of this product?

It was made by AccuForm, and basically they just glued some padding on a chunk of cut plywood, and wrapped it in vinyl. Then they stapled the vinyl to the plywood. They don't even have a metal area to screw them to the door panel. You just run your screws into the plywood. On top of that, the dimensions aren't the same as my other 3 originals either.

Considering the cost, I would have assumed they'd at least be close to factory ones.

Anyone else had experience with them, or a different brand maybe?
