Blower Fan switch w. A/C?

Post by 72GY9Runner » Tue Mar 27, 2007 3:43 pm

Does anyone know where I can get a new fan switch? The local parts stores don't list any replacement switches for 71-74 Dodge/Plymouths.

My switch is a 3 position (low med high), and so far every car I've checked in the wreckers has a 4 position (off low med high) switch.

If I can find a 3 position switch, I'll transfer the guts to my old case and bracket assembly. If anyone knows of a model that has such a switch, please let me know.

Thanks,
Dave Lutz

Would those be the Chrysler numbers or a change up aftermarket?
I may have gotten my hands on a good used heater control assembly, but I wont know for sure if it is good until this weekend.

The number you posted I cant find...When I restored my controls, the fan switch is P/N 3431137, check that part number out. I have my controller assembly out of my car still and I will try to get a picture posted in a day or so. I just went into my garage, because I had to check, that 136... number is NOT the actual part number. The P/N listed above is. I have my old one and the new one installed in the controller has the pentastar emblem and 136.... on it. 3431137 has the switch and the wires to it. Maybe the 136 number is ONLY the switch, where as the 3431137 is the switch with the wires. Anyway, I have my old one that is in good shape that I can offer to you. I'll get some pix posted A.S.A.P The really good news is I did some checking and have found one, maybe two, NOS P/N 3431137 for you to also check into  :D Let me get a couple of pix posted.

Just cuz I was curious, I did a search for fan switches on Ebay, and also found several switches pn#3431497 that look to be exactly the same as well. They list for 69-73 Dodge, Plymouths and Chryslers.

I guess the good news is, that I have lots of options if the one I see tomorrow is no good. I'll keep you posted if I need to get one from you guys.

Thanks for all the input.
