Re: Finally, a pic of "The bird""
Thanks, Why not my first choice of color....I cleaned up what paint on her that could still shine and kinda diggin the color. Wife was skeptical at first then told her my plans and she admits that she could learn to like the color. Gonna go back original color with some stripes\tracks to accent. And seriously thinking about black steel wheels with dogdish caps. She came from factory without exhaust tips. I wish I could get my hands on the original drivetrain though.

[img
][/img] Pic does not do interior justice. She is in remarkably great shape considering her age. the interior panels are solid driver quality. Just some popped seams here and there (headliner, driver seat, top of back seat)

the "before" pic with her hood up. Oh yeah, the rat's nest was free. lol Pack Rats are the reason all wiring under hood has to be replaced.

For $3000, you got a great deal! You are right about the interior, not bad at all. Automatic on the floor, steering wheel and the dash emblem all look like winners

I can't believe the grill was still with the car! Great looking project! And yes - the cop wheels with the caps are awesome on these cars. Got a set for my car. Scott.

Re: Finally, a pic of "The bird""
the car in the background of pic is for sale. The car was in a private salvage yard \ collection of with the exception of a couple of Fords and a stray Cadillac.....was nearly all Mopar. I am afraid though after basically stealing the RR I may not be welcome back. The 3k was his "tirekicker, kid can't afford it" price and it totally backfired on him (no pun intended).
