I was just wondering around the internet looking for production numbers and stumbled upon galens website.(its working now)
He says to copy the fender tag,any documentation and anything else with a $11.00 register fee and mail it to him in a letter.
Below all of that this list is ...listed,(lol)
1962-1964 Max Wedge
1964-1968 Super Stock Hemi's
1966-1971 HEMI Convertibles, GSS Darts/Demons
1968 BENGAL Chargers
1969 SAVAGE GTs
1969 CHARGER 500 & DAYTONA's
1970 ROAD RUNNER SUPERBIRDS
1969-1974 Sunroof Cars
1970 300 HURST
1969-1972 440+6 B, C & E-Bodies
1970 Challenger T/A & AAR Cuda's
1971 Challenger Indy Pace Car Convertibles
1978 ASPEN & VOLARE Super Coupe & STREET Kit Cars
1964-65 Custom Sport Specials, Warlocks
1978-1979 'Lil Red Express Trucks.
So what im thinking, and what has already been said in this group is he could care less about anything then what hes listed.
he also has books out but ive read that they have least amount of information possible.

Re: Galen Govier?
Well a couple years later.I finally decided to email Galen. It seems I have just about found what I can on my own about my car.I even went as far as to track down the place, and the people that are on this press release I have.No luck, the company In Detroit Isnt there anymore. So far no response from Galen,I emailed him two days ago.(I honestly don't think I will get a response, and If I do by some miracle Ill share It with you guys....when old and gray!)
On his site the $11.00 fee for decoding Is now $16.00 dollars and Its now $18.00 to register your car In his database.
Its says email to place order, and email to request. They are both the same email address so I had just sent him a small paragraph asking If he had any Info on the sundance package and how much It costs.(I didn't feel comfortable sending him pics of my car/tag what not off the bat, since 08 I have read way more unsettling things about him)
I'm just so curious to see what he knows,If he knows anything. At the same time I don't want to pay 18 just so he can tell me things I have already found on the internet. It will either be a Waste of 16 dollars or proof of what I have found out Is indeed the truth.
Anyone had any luck with him since 08?

Wow...he charges to put your car in HIS database....yet he's seen moving A/C hoses on cars without the owners permission to get fender tag pics (which would also go in his database). Amazing...
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!
Re: Galen Govier?
I tried contacting galen back when I first bought my car. I believe that with the options I have and it being a very late build, that it may be a 1 of 1 car. Never received a response and sorry I'm not paying to be put in someone's database. That just comes across to me as someone being a snob and as already said, someone who has grown too big for his own briches.
I've heard the same thing that he caters really only to the hemi cars and to get him to even look at a car costs big bucks and a pretty good wait.
Maybe you guys can help me out. How many roadrunners in 71' had AC, a 4 speed, 383, and were curious yellow? Throw the cassette recorder mounted on the 4 speed console as well. Last I heard only 136 cars got the cassette recorder.

Re: Galen Govier?
i could fit in the bald b-body owners club with you guys.
about galen, while at the mopar nationals a few years back we were sitting there bsing behind our cars when galen came up taking fender tag photos. when he came to my car{72 rrgtx 4 speed car} he walked right by it like it wasn't even there. my buddy's gave me a good ribbing over it and i probably laughed the loudest. galen won't get any of my money to register my car with guys like dave around to document it.
clem

Re: Galen Govier?
Its a sad thing when people In our hobby see this man as a mopar god.Little do they do,with some google searching,(or actually dealing with him)you can uncover that his greed and rudeness Is way bigger than all of the Info he has combined.
I read on another forum a guy was *waiting* for a reply for 3 years now,he Isn't really waiting anymore,Its pretty much a solid no-reply.Like hes really going back to go back 3 years In his mailbox to find an email?

Re: Galen Govier?
Personally, I wouldnt bother with him. I've met him a few times and everytime, he just gives me the impression that if you dont have a high end, one of one car as mentioned, you are looked at as a peasant to say the least...sorry but thats how he acted.
Re: Galen Govier?
Yeah that's pretty much how he comes across. I wouldn't let anyone take a picture of my fender tag or vin for that matter. Makes me think they're gonna steal it later. I met him once at the Nats and you know how there are people you just want to punch for no reason?

And here's that account of my recent GG encounter.
A few years back, the closest I came to having him respond to an email inquiry was a phone call from a gal letting me know that they received my request for info.

Re: Galen Govier?
Just to be clear.
This douchebag charges the car owner to receive his/her info for HIS database, which is accessible only to HIM.
Let's just flush our paychecks down the shitter. Maybe the water treatment plant will let us look at them later.
