Hi! I`m new in here
. I have to confess that I`ve been here as a guest and have picked up a lot of info.
I`m restoring a `71 GTX. During taking it apart I took a few pictures of the heater/ac housing to keep track of parts. My problem is that I can`t get them back from the PC
,due to a harddrivecrash. The issue is where the sealing foam are placed on the doors inside

Order up a gasket kit from Detroit Muscle Technologies here:
http://www.detroitmuscletechnologies.com/
I used their kit on the heater box for my Road Runner. Their kit will come with everything you need including detailed instructions with lots of photos...

Could'nt agree more. Did the same to mine. Jim is a good guy, also sells his stuff on ebag. Very happy with the way my box turned out after cleaning it up.

dang...ya'll beat me to it. DMT's foam kit is great! I even found and documented a piece he didn't include, but would in future kits.

there was a thin foam strip at the top of the AC core in mine. you could see where the tape mark was from the original.
there was also a foam pad on the back side of one of the flapper doors, to keep it from "clanking" when opening.
