Real Cool RR/GTX on CL in Atl.!!

Post by 72 RR fan » Sat Sep 27, 2008 11:12 am

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/cto/849235125.html

Saw this the other day....Never seen this color combo on this model....I really like it. Can't take on even the slightet of projects myself! (Dummy me bought something else again this week, but on the cheap!) Looks like this is an easy resto....At $15K+ unrestored, I don't know, is this a good deal?

I'm posting the pics incase the ad disappears.

Good deal, bad deal?
Love it, or hate it?

Thoughts?

More pics, and the text:
For sale is a 73 Roadrunner/GTX, that is one of 73 GTXs made that year, with this car possibly being the only one of its kind in existence (if not a VERY,VERY LOW single digit car)..
The car is a survivor with the original paint/stripes, and has 80,xxx original miles on the clock. The motor/trans numbers match, is a hood pin car, MINT white interior/black dash/carpet, tough wheel, interior hood release, bucket seat auto console, 15" rallyes, disc brakes, 3:55 sure grip, is a Canada export car, and the SUPER RARE JF1( Mist Green, NOT a very popular color for that model year) paint!!!
Motor/trans has been rebuilt, with 6,000 miles on it since, and runs STRONG..
Has build sheet/IBM card, and all documentation for car..
This is a REAL "U" code car (440), the VIN matches the fender tag/ motor/trans/ body/rad support/door sticker, car is all original, and needs a light resto to be brand new. There is rust in the lower rear quarters (in the front dog legs) with a 3" X 3" spot of rust on each side..The rest of the car is ROCK SOLID to include the hood/inner fenders/fenders/doors/rockers/quaters (with exception of prior mentioned)/trunk pan/trunk extensions.. Comes with two rust free front fenders (hard to find), and a deck lid..

Asking $15,500.

UPDATE: I was just "brousing" through NADA and its saying that for a running car that is a average retail car is going for around $22,625.00..
With that being said this car should EASLY bring the $15,500 Im asking, maybe even more, seeing that she needs a slight resto and that she is a survivor car..
That pricing does not include the other rare optional paint/interior combo she has (NADA is a generic site to give you an idea)..

nice car in a cool color, but I can't imagine with the market the way it is that car would bring 15K

One thing I don't understand is...using this chart..there is F-1 Mist Green, and J-3 Meadow Green. He says it's JF-1, Mist Green....Wonder which it is...

I'd agree Eric...15K is steep...at least when nothing's moving. I gotta go show a big block Merc in a minute. I feel lucky to get a call!

This car would be cool for a LOT less...gotta be one of a kind, I'd think!

It's Mist Green. My car's the exact same color as those photos, and ORIGINALLY had white stripes, but someone put black ones on. I also have a white interior. Basically, my car's supposed to look like that one.

Can you post a pic or two of your car that really shows the color? I have not seen but just this one above....It's real cool.
