Plymouth B Body Sighting on the telly. . .

Post by Serious Satellite » Tue Jul 29, 2008 4:00 pm

I was watching a 1996 rerun of Cops last night on tru tv (I think it was tru tv, it might have been Spike). It was filmed in Indy and all of a sudden I saw a brief glimpse of . . .a 1973 or 74 Satellite. I paused, and rewound, and sure enough in the parking lot behind the Circle City Cops was an Autumn Bronze Satellite Sebring with Black halo vinyl roof.

My wife was like. .."How the hell did you see that?"

In the movie smokey and the bandit, when the sherrif is chasing the bandit, the bandit turns down a road then a long row of cars going to a funeral stops the sherrif from driving any further, for maybe 2 whole seconds theres a black 73-74 satellite or road runner in that line.

In a clint eastwood movie he actually drives a satellite through a huge window.i forget what movie though

think it was dirty harry, and the car was a 73 or 74 satellite custom 4 door (i think), but other movies he made he drove a 75 or 76 plymouth (cop car)

Further proof that I'm

a). out of supplies for the Satellite
b). don't have much of a life

I found this on the internet. Smokey and the Bandit 1977, a black Satellite Sebring Plus (no side trim, chrome inserts around window)
