tires!!!

Post by landon1 » Wed Aug 20, 2008 10:03 pm

well, the 20 year old BFGs finally gave out on me lol...i've been putting it off since i don't drive too often...gave the tires a good inspection...sidewall was separating from the tread, HUGE cracks between the grooves...not good

so, i decided to go ahead and spend the money...went to the wallyworld tire center and had a wonderful experience  they tried putting TRUCK tires on my car...so i went to the place that seemed to have the coolest guy willing to help me out and got all 4 BFGs replaced with larger ones...

all i can say is amazing...no more bottoming out (these are 26.5" compared to 25" and 24.5" respectively (front and rear)) they look great and handle well, plus my speedo is correct now...the biggest benefit imo is that the wheelwells are actually FILLED out pretty well, compared to the smaller tires

bad pic, but here ya go...

i'll be installing my new dash and my craig 4 channel high output lol 8 track player friday night to get ready for a car show on saturday
