Appears to still have the painted over side marker lenses.

i almost flipped when i saw that show - at first no sidemarkers? that's about the coolest looking feature on the 71s - then what does that barry cat do? has them paint chevy orange panels to go in place of the marker lights ...then they actually sold it as a GTX, and not a satellite...nice car, but too blingy for me

Is that real plum crazy or some custom fix color?

I think they had plum crazy but tweaked it somehow.

If I remember correctly, they used a real road runner as a donor car for the Satellite
Nice looking car, but the first thing I notice is the incorrect GTX grille emblem!
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!Image

They originally bought a real Roadrunner and the owner had a Satellite for parts. The Satellite's body was better.

First thing I'd do is get that Ford rear out of the car and install a Dana or 8 3/4. It is a Mopar after all!

I remember that episode. Love what they did with the car but it was a shame to destroy the real RR.
