Taillight opinion
As many of you know I am putting a 72 rear bumper on my 71 Satellite. I just like them better. I want your opinion on this idea though. The backup light lenses are not quite as good looking as I want them to be. They are flaking off. I was thinking about maybe getting a strip of the white reflective tape and cutting it perfect size and putting over the backup lenses. They are both prizmatic looking and I think it wouldn't look bad. The only drawback is my backup lights wouldn't work.........BUT....the safety aspect would increase 10 fold from followers at night due to the reflective tape in the taillights.
What do ya think?

In my opinion the ´72 bumper makes sense from a design point of view. The front end theme is carried over to the rear whereas the ´71 bumper doesn't really follow the same theme. I really like the look of the ´71 bumper, I think the rear looks awesome but its a diffrent theme somehow.
I think the problem is the ´72 lenses. They look a bit "sleepy"! The bumper is good looking but the lenses are not really helping out! Maybe some selfmade lenses for your '72 bumper!?

I think you would get pulled over by johny law if you had white reflective tape in the rear. I think the 72's should have bezels around the tail lights.
