Hello all. I just took delivery of a 1971 Satellite Sebring that I had shipped in from Arizona that I am looking to build into a RoadRunner/GTX clone. The body of the car is in excellent shape with little to no rust so that should be the easy part. The more difficult part will be deciding what powerplant/transmission combo to use and bringing the suspension up to modern standards. I also may need some help figuring out if what the largest wheel/tire combo is that I can fit without having to modify the wheelwells and body. I appreciate any help you guys can throw my way in bringing my dream to fruition.

Welcome aboard!

The 71-72 B bodies can handle lots of meat in the rear. I am running 275R15's in the rear of my 71 Super Bee and there is plenty of room to spare. That's nearly an 11 inch tire.

What options are on that SSP? SSP's are getting pretty scarce too and they also make excellent restorations. Everyone knows about the roadrunners, but it's pretty cool to see a SSP every know and then. They had alot of the same options as a roadrunner.

My Sebring is a really awful moss green colour with green interior. It is a 318 car with automatic trans. and factory a/c. I am planning on doing it up like the "GTX-R" concept from Pure Vision Design (www.purevisiondesign.com). I really love the body lines and there are virtually nobody driving these around up here - all old fords and chevs and 60's mopars.
