My Dremel made short work of those ugly strips! Now I just need to seal the holes until I get the car in for body & paint.

It only took me about 20-25 minutes all told. I guessed the right bit size almost exactly and just drilled the little pops right out.
I'd only recommend doing it if/when someone is about ready to paint, as you're going to have unsightly holes that, while small, if left unfilled will promote rust in the doors and panels.
I don't think the car was HIDEOUS with them on there, but I like the cleaner look. I'm probably going to dispose with the rocker panel chrome strip, too.

Good Job!!! I'm glad you drilled them out. I had a friend with a 1973 Charger with those same moldings, he took them off but instead of drilling them out he just pryed them off. The result was a wave in the metal at every spot they were attached. So all the years of saving the car from door dings was destroyed in 10 minutes. I could have killed him.
