4speed hard to shift when Warm

Post by pigman » Wed Aug 03, 2005 11:06 pm

Greetings .. this is my first post and I wonder if anyone has a idea of what I may be up against.

When cold, my 833 shifts perfectly, after it warms up it starts shifting pretty stiff. I wonder if some part is heating up and expanding??

BTW, I purchased a 72 Sat Sebring Plus back in 1993.

I cloned it into a reasonable Roadrunner by 1997 and have been modifying it ever since!

Engine before.

Engine now!

GREAT FORUM ... Love my 72 (with the 71 hood and grille!)

Great looking car! What color blue is that, it looks great.

I have some problem with my 4 speed after it warms up. I don't know what the problem is but I am replacing the linkage in a couple weeks. I will get back to you if there is an improvement.
