Windshield washer bottle fasteners

What secured the bottle? Was it just sheet metal screws and nothing else?

Yes. (3) w/ flat washers. Silver cad or clear zinc. This is a photo of a reproduction. I'll have to check the size, #6 or #8.

I think they're #8 but nothing on the back side, huh? Be "screwed" if the hole is enlarged bigger

Yeah one of mine was wallered out. I considered but didn't think a #10 would work due to the limited inner diameter of the brass eyelet for the washer pump ground. I used a #8 speed nut on wheel side of the inner fender. It works until the next time I remove the screw and foret about the speed nut which will inevitably fall and bounce off the floor never to be seen again!
