Just curious if the N code 383 cars would have had the "road runner engine" or a 383 Magnum pie pan? Also anyone happen to know the correct exhaust manifolds casting that would have come on the car? Last, if the car was built in Dec 1970. What would the approx date range be on the casting of the motor? Like late October or November maybe?

If it is a Satellite, it should have the 383 Commando or Super Commando pie pan. Only the road runner would have the r.r. pie pan and the "Magnum" pie pan would only be on a Dodge.

Thanks. I was not sure if being the same body line if the N code just got the "road runner engine" as it was being built on the assembly line.

Only a couple. It is an N code car and has the engine callouts on the fenders above the turn signals. Here's another photo

Thanks again Eric. Now I can add the air cleaner and valve cover breather to my list of parts to hunt down! Any suspension pics of the car? Also any detail pics of the cars core support (front between header panel and core support)?

Unfortunately I do not have many photos of that car. I have photos of other survivors (mainly road runners and GTXs). What exactly do you need to see?

Would like to see what color/finish the control arms, sway bars, leaf springs etc were from the factory. I am starting a folder to have on hand when I get all the parts together for my project.

Pasted in the wrong link for engine castings.

Typical model year changeovers were done the first two weeks of July for assembly plants. The engine casting changes would usually be close to the same time, but no guarantees on that one.

Hey 1carcrazyguy,
Here is a post I did a while back for a similar question. This restoration book gives the color finishes on a lot of suspension parts. I am sure there are exceptions, but this should get you close.

I do not have a lot of suspension detail photos from survivors, but here are some photos of my original road runner. Many details will be the same.

Thanks again Eric for the pics! Found an air cleaner today!!! Just a few 1000 more items and I will have the parts needed to put one back together!!
And for those that have asked via email. No this is not for the orange car! The orange Satellite was 100% complete (junk weathered) when I got it.
