Red, orange, and yellow stripes

Hey, I'm new to the nest. I'm currently restoring a 71 roadrunner and it's got some funky stripes on it.
As far as I know, the paint is oringinal sassy grass green, but I don't know about the stripes. There's red, orange, and yellow going from the top of the hood, down the sides, then over the trunk. It even looks like it's going over the roof. I could find any other 71 with this stripe. Any one know anything about these stripes? I would upload pics, but I don't know how yet.

Welcome to the Nest!
The factory didn't offer any stripes on 71s that match your description. Sounds like someone did some customizing along the way.
If you look below the text window (when you're typing a post) you'll see a tab "Upload Attachment"...click on that to add a photo

There is a size limit on uploads (pixels).
Perhaps this is why?

You can send them in E-Mail to me at corelokt@aol.com and I will resize them and post for you if you like.
Put "STRIPES" or Road Runner Nest in the subject box so I will catch it.

You can start an account at photobucket (or similar site) and edit the size there. Then just post the direct link location here. I use photobucket for all my pic posting needs.

Thanks guys, im been so busy with the wedding, and im not that good computers. But the roadrunner is going to be my second project car out of the four that I'm building. I'm tring to get all of the hard to get parts, and as much info on it as possible. It was build in ontario, and according to the previous owner, it was one of 553 made. It had a 383 4 spd with a black interior, and white stripe black bench seats. I did pick up 440 to convert to a 520 hemi, and have many more plans for her. :D

Yep, 99.9% sure that is a custom job. Looks like some race car graphics to me. Looks like a good, challenging project car! Good Luck! Scott.
