Road Runner Nest

I'm restoring a 71 Road Runner with a V4X Canopy Vinyl Top. Does anyone know the factory stock distance between the two factory seams center to center? Also, is the canopy top molding two piece chrome or two piece black (top color). The car has the A87 Road Runner Decor package.

there shouldn't be two seams on a V4- car...only the full vinyl top cars had those. the trim should be the same color as the vinyl.

What about 72? I have the canopy trim for a 72 satellite and its just stainless, not colored.

the 71 is a 2 piece set. I had mine off a few years ago when I replaced the top. The moldings are not stainless in 71, and they have a textured/grain. Mine is painted black to match my vinyl color.

My 72's were stainless trim but the top did have seams in them.

I know its a longshot , but is the canopy trim for the 72 Satellite (one piece chrome) still available ?
