...if the car has a vinyl roof? There is no stripe, will it have the running Roadrunner decal on the side?

I'm not sure??? I have never thought about this before, and have never seen an original one in real life.

I looked at factory ads and brocures and came up with nothing.

I'm not sure the RR decal belongs there but maybe just the chrome script?
Though the 71 RR had both when no strobe stripe was ordered w/ or w/o vinyl top.

They got cheap in 1973 & 1974 when it came to the vinyl roof Road Runner. They only put the chrome script on the sides of the car. No running bird along with it. Just the bird decal on the front header panel, and on the trunklid.

Not true. My dad had a 73, vinyl with the script, but it had the standing bird on the quarter.

To the best of my knowledge (I have a 74 with stripes), if it has the vinyl top, it doesn't get the running bird decals, only the standing bird that goes on the RH side of the trunk lid. Hope this helps.
