What type of material are most of the splash shields made?

Several of the splash shields/guards on our cars are made of a flat rubbery substance about 1/8 of an inch thick. Since I have most of my original pieces, I figure if I found the right material, I could just cut my own new ones. Does anyone know if this material is available for sale at a hardware/auto store - or through someone else? The splash shields i am mainly talking about are the fender/headlight shields and the rear inner fender shields. Thanks in advance!

For the cost, why not just buy a pre-cut set. They're not that expensive.

Yep, spotted his stuff already. Just exploring all options for saving a dollar here and there. Figured if I could find a suitable material, I could just make them myself. Thanks for the feedback! Scott.

I made mine on my daily driver a couple years ago, and probably will make some for my Road Runner here soon.
I used EPDM rubber sheeting for mine. Held up great so far. If you can still piece your old ones together, they make a good stencil.
Good luck!
