I was scouring the Dayton, Ohio, area for a Mopar Club and can't find one. I can find the Mid-Ohio out of Wooster, and the Tri-State one out of Cinci, but nothing in the Miami Valley.
So, for those of you in the know, how does one start a Mopar Club in your home town/country/region?

Id say go the same route as if you were trying to get a business going.
advertising and stuff
spam some car groups, make a logo, catchy name, find some members, find a palce to have carshows, people around here meet up behind our local movie theatre.
make a webpage, website or a myspace or something

Pick a place for meetings.
Most local libraries have free meeting rooms. Book the room for 3 months or so in advance.
Make a flyer with time date and place of your meeting.
Go to every local cruise and car show with the flyer and put them in as many Mopars as you can find. Keep doing it.
Are there any local car enthusiast web sites.
We have Crusin Times magazine with free space for clubs and also club listings in the print media.

Post it every where and see who shows up.
You may only get one or two people at first.
Don't give up cause there are most likely lots of guys and gals who feel like you but haven't heard about a Mopar Club in Dayton so it will take time to grow.

I started my mopar club with just me and two of my buddies. I started a wed sight and made up business cards and handed them out at car shows and cruise ins.
also look for web sights dedicated to advertising car clubs in your state and register your club.
check out this sight!

Pick a very different name that has no or few links come up on google, that way when its googled the only links are to your club.

My advice...don't do it. It will lead to headaches and ended friendships. This is why 99.9% of all clubs fail. It's a LOT of work and no one wants to help, they just want to enjoy the benefits of your hard work. I know, I tried it with a good friend several years back.

If you keep it small, it shouldn't be that much of a problem....Just my opinion....
