How do I take the dash woodgrain thingy off?

I ordered a dash cap from Legendary, I am not sure if that woodgrain nameplace - a/c thingy needs to come off or not. I would like to take it off to clean it up though. So how does it come off? I don't see any screws holding it on???........

It's screwed in from the back. You'll need to remove the glove box liner to access it.

I think there is 6 holding it in.

They are like a nut about 3/8"

Yes. Its like a looong loop. The loop goes horizontal(left to right), like a sleeve for the rod

Now to get back to your problem Barry, like eric and rr said there are 6 and they are a pain if you have ac, as the duct always gets in my way when trying to get one out.
