Road Runner Nest

Hey guys, anyone have any luck finding a set of headers for a 73 Big Block RR? I fooled for about 2 weeks trying to get the driver side to clear the steering coupler and finally gave up after beating one of the header tubes nearly closed to clear the darn coupler. Have since taken a few month break from it and have thought about trying again. Is there anything you can do to get rid of the coupler?

Years ago I used Hookers on my 73 440 and had no problems with clearance, with the coupler that is.
