I took my bench out 3 yrs ago. It did not lean back. Sounds like something is bent/broke. I still have the bench in the garage. I will take a look when I get a chance. It is buried under c-ap!

If your about 5'4 a fifth avenue seat works nicely. Thats what is currently in mine, at least until I get those nice buckets in.

I am 6'2 by the way (feel like I am holding the roof of the car top of my head)

I have a bench in my 74 4Door if you dont have any luck finding what you need. That 5th Ave Seat will eventually go in there for my daughter.

The lean is caused by a bent stop pin on the outside of the bench seat. Same pin that the seat latches to. You can bend it back up, but it will more than likely break loose the welds so be prepared to weld it back up.

I had to do this on my driver side post.
