I was wondering if anyone has the trunk decal measurements for the standing bird decal. I seem to remember that my original was rougnly one inch from the side, and 1.5 inches from the bottom, but I lost my piece of paper that had the exact measurement.
I was looking at the engineering diagrams on the Hamtrack site, but of course they don't have any of the measurements listed.

On mine 73, it is four inches from the side to the top of the left wing and two inches from the bottom.

On the instruction sheet for my Mopar original circle bird decal it says:
1971 Decklid Circle Bird Decal:
1" above bottom edge. 1" inboard of right edge
Hope this helps!

Both those sound right.
I know that I've seen them in two distinct locations. Mine would have been the one closer to the edge. My buddy has a yellow 72 with the hood to trunk transverse stripes, and his trunk bird is mounted right on the trunk stripe which is about 4 inches in from the side.
Thanks lots guys.

I have the engineering specs. and prints of the proper placement but I can't post the picture right now because it appears I've exceeded my picture posting permission for I guess today. How ever I will post it later. But for now depending on the size of the carrier paper the decal came on from Mamopar. It states that the bottom right corner of the carrier paper should be placed at the bottom edge and side of the trunk lid. i hope my description is understandable. You know what they say..."A picture is worth a 1000 words".

according to the Hamtramck registry they use the paper that the decal is attached to as a guide. You line up the corner of the paper with the corner of the trunk (deck) lid.
