Help with Strato Vent Question

Finishing up the dash on my 71 RR (383 "preproduction car"), and as you can see from the attached pic, the Strato Vent (in lower right corner) has a screw holding a white piece of plastic that is broken. What does the piece look like, what does it do, where can I get a replacmeent? Thanks for any help...Marty in Tallahassee, FL
