Installing Air Grabber decal

Has anyone installed the decal on the sides of the AG lid? Is there an easy way to do it? I should say it is already installed in the hood on the car. With the pins for the hinges I didn't see ant other way
I am afraid to try putting it on dry and with the textured paint I don't know if water will help.Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,Dave

I've installed them, although I'm not sure I understand your question. I installed mine AFTER I put the hood together. The decal with the teeth covers the holes for the pivots. Is that the question? And yes, water HELPS.

That was my question. The lid is in the hood and the hood is on the car.
Does the black front edge of the decal wrap around into the opening so that the orange is to the front outside edge?

What's that they say about a picture being worth a thousand words? Hopefully these pics of the scoop on my air grabber help. Good luck!

Guys I would really recommend installing these dry...they are a small
decal...reflective really should be installed dry....and the textured stuff
will make it impossible to get all of the water out......
if you do try it wet ....and it dosen't stick.....lay it to the side adhesive
up then install it when it dries...
if you have ever put decals on a your kids 'power wheels' you have you
have gained enuff experience to lay down some small airgrabber decals.
on textured surfaces you can wrap a dry paper towel around your
squeegee...this will help push the decal down into the contoured surface
....on small stuff like the airgrabber decal...your fingers will do the job.
hope this helps....scott
wet is for large decals or folks who do not want to mesure.
