what is fair market value for this car?

i wanna get some opinions on this car....

Here is what I know......
..383 is (C383) non matching numbers
..is a track pack car
..drivers floor has holes...others o.k.
..trunk is bad
..rails are good
..deck lid has rusted apart under lip
..wrong seats
..has horn
..good marker lights
..O.K. tail lights
..rusty down low on sheet metal...but not around wheel lip
..stripe delete
..hasen't ran in a long time!!!!
..looks better in pictures than actually is
...RUSTY

What is fair market value? just good guesses

The shifter thingy looks as though it is attached to the auto trans linkage????

but you can see where the column shift lever has been removed.

I'm actually a lowballer though....But it all depends on how much you really want it.

iIt needs alot of work but it is a RR. Someone has to rescue this car. It would look sweet restored. Low ball the owner (1000) dont act like you want it too bad. I would go as high as maybe $2000. Looks like it has alot of the orginal parts left.

Does seem a little high. I'd look at it from the value of the parts. Not that you'd part it out, but if you can find that much in parts value there, at least you know you could recover your investment if you needed to.

$45 actual plastic bird..faded
$100 all exterior chrome trim(windshield, drip rail etc.)

$150 turn signal lights and assembly (pretty good shape)
$75 not broken but fair
$0 glass...man you can't give this stuff away(hard sell)

$200 engine core
$50 trans core
$100 for plain 8 3/4 (posi 391 which it codes for....$300 for all)
$50 for misc suspension sway bars k member

INTERIOR

$0 seats....i think they are cheby..lol
$50 steering wheel and column
$75 for dash
$50 for bird emblem and dash insert
$100 door panels for upper and lowers...these look o.k.
$75 dollars for the odd and end trim...headliner bows...clips..handels..etc.

-$100 for vin tag and title...oh yeah...clone time...NOTE just kidding this
will not be added into the final total

You could probably get all your money back out of it, but it would be some work. I also think you could get more than 300 for the hood.

If you already have some of the parts you need to restore this bird it could be worth it. I've seen some runners on ebay go for alot more then what he's asking for this one. If you want to turn it over fast buy it and put it on ebay. I'm sure you could turn a profit. Some times you just have to bite the bullet if you think it is worth it. If the sub frame is good that is a plus. These cars will continue to go up in value, I think you could hold on to it for awhile and have no problem turning a profit, minus of course what you might have to pay for storage or what ever. Think of it as a diamond in the rough. Did this guy have There is more than one way to skin a cat, and there is more way to get a car you want. If you have a skill the other guy doesnt you could work on his house or car. If his daughter is fugly you could take her out and bring her out of her depression that might make him happy enough to just give you the car (I never did that one honest). Or you could complain to the city that that car is a eye sore and a rat trap and they would make him get rid of it. Most cities and towns have rules concerning non registered vehicles. Make it worth your while without making it cost too much.
