Hi guys,

Does any of you have experience with any quality difference between Legendary interiors and Year One's interiors? -which brand is the one to go for?

Buy directly from Legendary. If I'm not mistaken, they make Year One's anyway...

Yup.

I have a front and rear set in the black/orange from them. I looked at them when I got them and they seem pretty good....haven't gotten to the stage of putting them on though.

OT - Is anyone else not impressed with the quality of the plastic door panels and seat backs?

The grain is too far off....too....thick. :(

I've heard (but cannot verify) that the ones Y1 sells are not made by legendary and are actually better (never thought I'd say that about ANYTHING from Y1!).

I bought my orange and black interior from Legendary and am very pleased. It looks as good as the originals, um, actually BETTER since it's not torn and all... :D

I bought the orange/black front and rear seat covers from a local shop who ordered them from Legendary Interiors. I was really happy with them. The colors and grain were identical to the originals.

The rear seat cover was slightly too big and had to be trimmed down and resewed to fit properly. It may very well have been a mistake on that particular seat cover.

Unless things have changed...

When I orderd the new seat covers for my wife's Cuda from Year One, they came with installation instructions from Legendary(maybe a mistake?). Maybe they buy from multiple suppliers, but since I saw that I have been buying from Legendary. The quality has always been awesome, though sometimes delivery dates can be long.

I just got a set from PUI (i think this is what year one carries now). The price was right less than 300 for buckets and back. The vinyl seemed to be a little soft as my wife scuffed one cover with her fingernail.and the stitching on the back seemed a little weak and we had to add a few extra stitches. The covers also seemed a little big but that could have been from my 35 year old foam.I had to add 1 inch foam over the whole seats.

Yes, Year One has changed to PUI for there supplier of seat covers and yes again the quality is not the same as Legendary.
I am a dealer for legendary and can supply you with a discount when you are ready, just email me at nicksclassicparts@cox.net or visit www.nicksclassicparts.com for other items also.
