I have a new stripe kit for my RR.The part that crosses over the roof is 10 1/4" wide. That seems too wide.I have the canopy v-top if that makes a difference.Could someone with a 72 check the width on theirs?
Is it centered between the v-top and the back edge of the roof?

Thanks,Dave

i do not have exact mesurements...but the side sripe should be about 1.25 - 1" away from the side window reveal as it goes down the side of your car....tape all the stripe pieces to the car and you will get a better idea....the stripe should be closer to the vinyl top....and the bottom strobe on your quarter panel will be +-36" from door edge to stripe tip.....

hope this helps

also I'm like you your stripe seems too wide?

Pictures and measurements would be a big help.My car has a stripe that I think is painted on and it isn't for a 71 or 72.I didn't realize that the stripe came as close to the window as it does until Scott mentioned it in his reply.

The car is going to the media blaster on July 5th.If I can figure out how to do it I will post before and after pictures.

THat would prove quite useful as I have a roof strobe stripe kit also for mine and need to know where exactly to apply it. :)

When you say both vinyl and non, what do you mean by non?

I mean the stripe placement is correct for the canopy vinyl roofs as well as painted roofs. The stripe itself should be tape, not paint.
