Are the brackets the same for the air grabber and the rear defrost?

Yup- same metal mount. The various switches just screw onto them.

Now This brings up a question. Not of the interchangability but....

There are three mounting positions under there. but what is the third option that would mount a switch there??

Air grabber, Rear Defog. but what would be the third option???

You're talking about the holes in the central area under the dash, right? What about a car that had an air grabber or rear defrost, but didn't have A/C, so it had those left and right fresh air vents (at the feet, like in trucks, yes?)? That would take up two sets and then have either the AG or the defrost. I think I saw that non-A/C cars had them, and they mounted in the center part under the dash. Anybody know if that could be why??

Headlamp washer on the chargers also the station wagons mounted a switch here for the tail gate door unlock.

You couldn't get an Air Grabber with A/C. The fresh air vent cables are mounted in the middle under dash....A/G / defrost / tailgate switches always mounted to the left of the steering column

I thought the AG was off to the left, but I thought I saw a Cuda with one in the center of the dash, maybe justan ebody thing, or maybe just that's how the owner wanted it. :? I guess I never noticed sets of holes on the left side, only in the center and I thought there were 3 sets. Wait a minute, there are holes there, cuz that's where I put my choke cable. Duh!

When your seated in your car, take your left hand and run it onthe bottom of the dash board, between the column and the drivers door. Where the parking brake release handle is. There are three square holes there; underneath where you have to literally get down in the foot well to see them.

Thanks for the heads up. I couldn't figure out what option I hadn't heard of. Oh well I have the rr defog and the AG. I guess that third spot will just have to be use to the Jelly doughnut ejector when I get it finished ( think Flares and Chaff on an aircraft :D :D )

What are you missing out on? The only difference would be the headlight washer or tailgate SWITCH(S) and what the bezel has written on it. otherwise the mounts and style of bezel are the same.
