Rear tires for a '72 Satellite?

Post by rt-man » Mon Nov 21, 2005 3:41 pm

What R U running?

I just bought a '72 Sat recently and am putting on 15" cop wheels with Plymouth Division dogdish hub caps. Looking to slap on BFG Radial TAs RWL. 245-60-15s on the front. What's a good street size for the rears, given the rear fender flares on a '71-72?
:help:
Thanks for your opinion.

Well since it is only a 7" wide rim, I'd think a 255/60/15 would be about what is safe for that rim width. You'll have to check the offset and see if it will work. It may sit deep in the wheelwell.
That is the tire size i run on mine front and rear- with a 8" rim with "0" offset. Front is close- but fits with no interference anywhere inthe arc of travel, the rear has plently of room.
Otherwise I have seen people with 275/60/15's on the rear- with the proper offset.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.
