Difference between a 3 spd and 2 spd wiper motor

Post by road chicken » Mon May 23, 2005 10:31 pm

Anybody know how to tell the diffence between the two wiper motors?

I definatley have something screwed up as the dash switch is a two speed, but the motor is acting backwards. IE on the 1st click it runs fast, on the second click it runs slow.

HEY- who put RH under my name???? My bird is a genuine RM23N-  :help:

The three speed wiper motor is larger. It has the motor part off to the side a bit from where the wiring hooks up, if this makes sense. The two speed is more compact, with the motor part being smaller and protruding straight out perpendicular to the firewall. Hope this helps.
My 71 Sebring has the two speed, and my 72 Dart has the three speed.
