beaten the living crap out of a 8 1/4 rear end and gotten away with it? I transplanted a 440 into my last Runner, which started life as a 318 car. I didn't change the rear end, and beat the car mercilessly for years. Granted, most every burnout was one wheel, but it sure was fun. That rear end never let me down. It complained a bit with some noises when all was said and done, but lived to tell the tale. I think that's pretty cool!

I totally ground up my 8 3/4 rear end on my 1970 Super Bee 383 4-speed.

About those rears...

Hey guys...that just means you were driving your cars properly, right? Ever seen the way corvette and camaro drivers drive? Slang terms for female genitalia come to mind!

I was easy to rip all the bolts out of my ring gear, and gernade my 8 3/4 sure grip....

I replaced it with a mother MOPAR sure grip and a Richmond 4:10 gear set...

Haven't had any problems since...
