Looking for auto transporter

Post by xray » Wed Apr 19, 2006 10:34 pm

Does anyone have info on reasonably priced auto shippers. I will be getting a RR in the near future and i will most likely have to ship it.

I used DAS when I shipped my Satellite back in 2000. From Arizona to Detroit, MI, $745. They did a nice job, and the car arrived sooner then they promised. But with gas prices and time, I'm sure they have went UP!

Two idea's.....one, check moparts.com in the section for shipping/transport. At times guys are dropping off a load and have nothing but an empty trailor to drive home...so they look for people to fill that slot. Also check motorcitymoparclub.com , and go to the C body board, and post a request there. I remember those guys knew a couple people in the business, that moved cars at a fair price.

Good luck!

It will be shipped from southwest MI. to southeast WI.. It's a bout 225 miles one way. I stumbled onto a 71while looking for parts for my cherokee. After lookng for a year for one I ended up finding this one by accident. The seller told me this bird is solid needing minor body work and paint. It has a 72 400 in it now but I have a 71 440 6 pac motor that was rebuilt last year and never fired, I still need the center carb and a few other linkage parts. The interior needs a redo it is black with buckets and slap stick. It is a red car, I might be painting it sassy grass because that is my favorite. I have not seen this car yet and I am waiting on pictures, I think this is the one. The seller seemed very honest when I spoke with him. I will be going to take a look at it sometime next week on my way home. I guess I'm in for a few sleepless nights till then. I would be thankful for any info you can dig up on the shipper you used in tha past. Thanks, Ray
