well saturday did not go as planned. I was supposed to take the ssp up to get the sidepipes hooked-up, but instead developed 2 shorted-out wires, so it was a fun-filled day of wiring for me. I re-wired just about everything on the car and now everything works-AMAZING!

I also got acquainted with my new truck-1978 Dodge. It's orange and black with bucket seats and a four speed. I have a bit of body work to do-about a s much as on the satellite. Does anybody know if the bucket seats on these trucks are supposed to fold forward, because I can't figure it out.
Thanks

Let me guess- the smoking wires were some of the wiring your friend did to "get it running".
Well for a guy that didn't do wiring- seems like you got it handled

no. actually it was the fusible link, the thick black wire from the alternator up to the dash, and the thick red one on the backside of the fusible link wire up to the dash-those also messed-up some other wires. I just started putting in wires that needed replaced, and used thicker wire in some spots, so maybe tht will help. That was the longest seven hours I think I've ever been through-other than school or work

I think the wiring Tanner did was to get the turn signals and flashers to work so he put in a wire from one solder-looking thing to another on the turnsignal switch or cam, but I'm not sure.
