A little bitty cam 230/238 at .050 .515/.535 with 1.5 MP rockers
BDS 8-71 at 6% overdrive (12-13 PSI)
Kind of a cobbled together BDS EFI setup with FAST electronics and sumped stock tank
Yours truely built 727 with a 9 1/2 PTC tight 4000 converter
Mostly stock suspension with caltracs and rancho 9 ways on the rear
QA1 adjustables on the front
3.54 Dana
275/60 MT ET street radials
Completely stock interior with power windows and all

Yes it is a real V code (RS23V1G) 2 tag car, Grabber, 4.10 Dana, hood pins, bumper guards, blah blah blah

Best ET was the 10.56 at 127.0 at 4130 pounds

It`s racing days are officially done as of last season, It was fun and an adventure trying to do it without cutting or drilling ANY holes in anything, Having that heavy pig yank the front wheels made it all worth it :D But it is to the point now that I personally am uncomfortable with it. I`ve been tossed twice for no roll bar and to be honest, i`d prefer i had one. I will NOT do that this car. I have all ....er.....most of the original parts to put it back stock (ventilated the original block in 1980) and thats what is going to happen.
Just picked up a dang near rust free Road Runner body that will be the "new" race car and cloned as a copy of the current GTX with proper safety equipment less weight and less "worry"
Looking for a streetable 10.0`s
This current Drivetrain is extremely tame and is capable of 13-14 MPG driving and is going in the new car "as is" so we`ll see.


Here is the new project
It isn`t real pretty, but the body is absolutely fantastic
Was/Is a FJ6 Road Runner 383 console auto, Power disc, power steer, hood pin, A/C, Cali car..Tags are gone so I have no idea of anything else

Nothing wrong with that.- well maybe that redlight in the second vid. But if it isn't flashing inthe mirror- how much does it matter?

How well did the body on the X handle the stress of launching? and did you have frame connectors installed?
I ask because I have this kid in town that refuses to put them in and is cracking the body seams on th "C" pillar. I try to tell him those connectors work wonders for the rigidity of the chassis.

Now about your project- whadda mean it ain't purdy? Its beautiful!!! :bump: Of course I AM slightly prejudice :D

Even has the original headpipes. Ah yes-No Wisconsin car- that is for sure.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

Actually the body took it pretty well, There are no frame connectors, There was nothing done to this car that was not a "bolt on" and that couldn`t be easily undone.

I have some early video, pre caltrac bars, and it was twisting bad, Once the caltrac bars were put on, it stopped and picks up nice and straight.
I know it was hurting it before and was constantly waiting for it to blow the windshield out. Had to readjust the doors a couple of times. But since the bars, nothing has moved at all. But...even at that, it`s still stressing the body beyond what it was designed for, so it`s just time to quit..it`s worth too much to risk it...I went thru alot redoing it the first time ( bone stock, nut and bolt, paint splotch type of deal) and I really don`t want to go thru that again.
