I just read the article "
A conversation with John Herlitz" insight into the 1971 Plymouth B-Bodies.
It's in the June 2015 Mopar Action magazine.
I see that our fearless leader Dave did the article.....Kudo's to Dave!!

well written article!
I've scanned it and have it as a pdf file but can't seem to attach it here.
So, Dave or Eric, if you pm me I'll send it to you, and if you can post it here for all the Road Runner nest people to enjoy!
Cheers

I had to buy a news stand price of $7.99 just for this article.

Interesting that Mr. Herlitz preferred the 72 rear bumper over the 71. I tend to agree though I own a 71. I am curious what rear window design he had in mind to differ from the dodge version that went into production.

I ran across this pic but it is the only one I've seen. Can't see the back glass but I can imagine it would look quite different than what they actually went into production with.

Wow that is a rare photo! Check out those door handles. Quarters look a bit like a cross between 70-71 Torino and 2nd generation Barracuda.

I like the production version the best.

Thanks for posting, Beeper.....and thanks to you too, Dave!!
I also agree with John. The '72 rear end is better looking unit.
