Hi all, well where do I start? I guess I'll just say I finally drove the Bird, and am now working the bugs out for a long drive to a show next weekend hopefully. Observations, are biased ply tires are real funny, and I need better shops on the back, cause it is real loose. Something else hit me the other day also. The cars scheduled build date was 4-28 of 1971, and I drove it for the first time since 1978 on Apr-26 of 2014. That seems kinda coincidental to me, I hope it's not a bad thing. The people around here are really stoping in their track to watch this thing go by, and when they see the Hemi decal on the front fender just tops it off.
I have a Passon 4 speed over drive, and at 70 I'm just under 2500, which I think anybody could live with. I do most running on just the back carb, sooooo, maybe I might get 15 mpg instead of 7, as soon as the other carb starts oping you sure know it.

First-- Nothing like that first trip around the block. Get used to the looks- and watch them. People get so taken they forget what they're doing. Like driving next to you.
By the third time out you should be fairly well infected with " Shit eatin grin" syndrome. :D :D :D :D :D

Loose? Like something not right loose, or I can't seem to get these hard as marbles tires to get traction , Loose?

Kenny, give me a call sometime. The only reason to take it back to Mark is to get some of my money back. Ha. I do have an interment sound on the passengers side. Now if it's the rear end I will be back there, and mad, cause they had it apart. On another note, I drove it around town a couple of days, to get the front end lined up, and just to put a few miles on it. I was coming up the 4 lane doing around 60 with open headers and a 530 Hemi, and two Sheriffs cars go around me, and one of them looks, and waves as he goes by. It's nice to live down here where the Gestapo isn't out to bust everybody.
When I meant loose, I have good Koni shocks on the front, and Napa brand on the back, and the front kinda stays put, while the back will dance around some. I'll fix that later.

I'll get some pictures as soon as I git it fixed. I have had a disaster, the IDIOT that put new bearings on the axles didn't pack them with grease, and they burned out, and may have ruined one axle. So I'm dealing with that.
