To keep original..or not.

Hello, my 71 RR has manual steering, it does not have the original steering column, either. Would adding power steering take away from the value? I appreciate all input, and thoughts.

go with the power steering. If it was a high optioned car you'd be looking to restore that's one thing, Odds are it was low optioned and on the cheap/ drag orientated- (I'm guessing here)- adding the p/s can only up the value and pleasure of not feeling like a bus driver around slow corners and parking maneuvers. Keep the manual unit for strip / race car application

What he said, especially about keeping all the manual stuff. If you ever decide to sell let that go with it.
