Re: Second time around.
Thanks guys! I will be out there scuffing and buffing the car this week. I will post some more pics once it's reassembled in the next few weeks.
And ct71rr, I may part that car out but I am planning on using it to get another car on the road before I do that.

Re: Second time around.
It's raining this morning so I'm not in a big rush to get out there. I figured I'd post a couple quick pics of the paint, scuffed, and buffed out. Not even polished yet.
I couldn't resist taking a selfie in the black mirror shine, haha. Not bad for a novice (this is my 3rd full repaint) who is working out of a garage that's waaaaay too small for a big ol B body.
We went to "Cruising the Coast" down in Biloxi, Mississippi this last weekend. If you have never been, you should consider it. There were literally thousands and thousands of cars from all eras, in all conditions, cruising around. On the news they estimated there was around 7,000 custom cars cruising around Biloxi and neighboring towns. I really wish my car would have been done so I could have taken it but, alas, it was not. There was every type of Mopar ever made down there, even several Superbirds and Daytonas. I kept my eyes open and only ever saw 1 other 71-72 Plymouth B body there. It was a yellow with black stripes Satellite done up like a Roadrunner. I was able to chase him down and talk with him. He gave me a card from his club, the "Mopar Magic Unlimited Auto Club", along with his name and number so we can find each other and cruise together next year. It was truly an amazing trip. I will never forget seeing all those cars just cruising together up and down the beach road...
Oh and we did quite excellent at the casino too. I left with an extra $1400 and my girl was a big winner of 2 jackpots totaling over $5000. You really can't ask for a better weekend than that!

Re: Second time around.
Wow...looks great! Black is a very unforgiving color too. You can guarantee any imperfections in the body work will show.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!

Re: Second time around.
I'm not yet finished with the exterior. Still have the rear glass trim, grill, emblems, and decals to install. I am going to buff it some more too. I should have all the exterior finished up this week but I figured I would post a few pics of the progress. I got it out and washed it off today so I can buff it again tomorrow.
And there's my 79 Ford F100. Fun truck with a 460. I'm afraid it won't hold a candle to my Plymouth when I get her done.
Anyway, it's coming along. Not flawless but about as good as I think is possible in my cramped little garage that's barely big enough to fit this B body in on one side. It's very satisfying to do all the work myself but it is not hard to feel overwhelmed at times. I'm just doing the best I can and learning as I go.

Re: Second time around.
And I'm done with all the major stuff. All that is left is minor detailing here and there. I've been cruising it around for a couple weeks and it's a great driver as well as one hell of an attention getter. Thanks for the help. This site has been a great resource to help me with my project. I appreciate it
