Should I Have Passed On This One?

I did. Wondering if I should have.
In late February 2010 I looked at this survivor 71 SSP in a northern suburb of Detroit. Pretty much no rust and original except as follows:
15" Rallyes traded for 14", but 14" were kept
383-2V intake removed in favor of 4V, but 2V was kept
half vinyl top painted? white instead of original green?, and trim molding painted white also
pinstriping around wheel wells and rear - were those factory?
383 callouts - were those factory?
3.55 gear
A few minor dings. The interior was a bit rough - bucket covers a mess, dash pad cracked, arm rests a mess. Very straight. The owner was asking $12,000, and would nlot budge. I thought it was worth about $8k, but might have gone $10k.
I asked him last November if he sold it. He told me he got a little more than $12k.
Does anyone on this site know where it went?
