Greetings from the UK

Hi All,
My name is Howard and I've just realised a life's ambition by finally becoming the very proud owner of a 1974 Plymouth Roadrunner

)) She was brought over to this island in 2001 by a serviceman based in Norfolk from Lincoln, Nebrask. Originally she was a North Dakota car. Since then I believe she has had two other owners. The engine is the base model 318 with the 3 speed manual gearbox. General condition is very good, interior is tatty and neglected. Receipts back up what appear to be a genuine 42k miles.
My plans are to drive her

I'd like to tidy things up a bit but I'm not totally obsessed. One definite plan is to return her to the original colour(the factory build sheet was found behind a seat cover) - Avocado Gold Metallic KJ6. The current paint(metallic raspberry) has been shoddily done - straight over the top of the green.
I'll post pics when I can - not sure it's possible via a tablet computer ?

Welcome to the Nest Howard. Sounds like you have a great car to enjoy and drive. It should grab plenty of attention over on the island. I have been working on my family tree, and my great grandfather was born in London, g2 grandfather born in Tring, and g3 grandfather was born in the Birmingham area. I sure would like to get back over there sometime. I got a small taste when I was stationed at RAF Alconbury in 1994. I cycled through some beautiful scenery over there. Enjoy your Roadrunner! Scott.

Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated. I've been trying to sort out the turning signals - we call them indicators over here - this week, it's not so easy to use hand signals on a LHD car in the UK !
Sdweatherman ; Our little island is quite nice but I prefer wide open spaces...my wife and I try to escape to the US a couple of times a year. Nothing beats driving through the desert IMO.
Am working on pics but am struggling - I do all from an iPad these days. Think Photobucket is the answer...

Yes, use photobucket or some other picture hosting site. Then use an image link in your text on this site. Works pretty slick. Scott.

Thankyou road chicken

I'm away from home and my beloved RR at the moment - holiday time for us in Denver. Missing RR already...
