I have the 1972 Film Strip sale promo for RR Satellite on VHS.
I need to figure out how to get it on the PC to make it a digital file.

Cool film. How does one get a copy of that? Are there many original copies out there? As for the 1972 film. They make a little unit called a Dazzle 80 that takes the signal out of the RCA jacks on a VCR and feeds it into a computer. I think there are newer units that plug right into a USB port. Just gotta get online and look around. Thanks for sharing!
Scott.

As a gamer,I used to make a lot of video game videos for the internet.

What I personally used was a digital camera with input/output capabilities(cables) and some two play splitters.

You could do the same with a vcr.

You play the vhs in a vcr, each of the output cables from the vcr(red, white, yellow)run into its own splitter. The splitter splits whats coming from the vcr two ways,to the tv and to the input jacks of the camera. While you play the vhs you hit record on your camera. When done you upload what was recorded onto your computer and you now have a digital copy.(This can be done with recording stuff that's on tv also.)

The only downfall of that is finding a digital camera these days with input capabilities is difficult.

There are devices such as usb plug in recorders, theres also video cards you install into your computer. Most are expensive, the cheaper ones would be low quality and seeing its already on vhs you don't want the quality to get any uglier. Dazzle is good for every now and then recording but very undependable if your making videos constantly. Also It doesn't like to work with windows vista(or the other way round)

Also places like CVS pharmacy I'm pretty sure can rip video from your vhs tapes!

Nerd alert! Let me know if you need help with which ever route you go. I'm always in the mood to draw up guides.

A lot of times the training films were completed before they made last minute changes in business decisions. They didn't want to spend all that money to make a correct revised film. If you've ever seen the '70 Charger film. You'll notice that the red Charger R/T in it has a body colored bumper on the front of it. But they didn't come out with that until the '71 models. Before the '70 Road Runners were at the local dealership out here. One of the salesmen I used to talk to all the time there. Told me that they were told all of the '70 Road Runners were going to come standard with 15" ralley wheels. They came out. Lots of Road Runners on the lot. Yet not one of them there had 15" rallye wheels on it. I went and found the salesman, and asked how come they were all 14" rallyes? His reply? "I guess they changed their minds."
