That's all you guys have up there and the media is going nuts?

Don't you remember the 10 foot high snowbanks back in the 70's?

A friend of mine is renting a house to a guy who moved to Rochester, but is coming back to NC because he "can't take the 18 inches of snow on the ground".

Nick couldn't have picked a better time to visit, eh?

Hey at least that snow is typical for you guys. We just got 3-4 inches down here at Texas A&M and everybody was going nuts. Funny watching the international indian and chinese students just staring at the sky like armageddon. Texas A&M is about 2 hours east of austin and 3 from san antonio. I lived in Maine for 9 months and that was crazy cold and snow which was why I came back home to Texas. Stupid snow keeps following me. Where's Al Gore? I'm gonna kick him where the sun don't shine.

Now that the snow is finally melting we have to deal with the pot holes or should i say craters. it's bad when you have to pay more attention to the road surface than whats on it.

Being from Cleveland, 18" of snow isn't really worth talking about, unless it all comes in a 24-48 hour period. Then it will muck things up for a day before life gets back to normal. We were missed in the last couple storms of the year - I had maybe 24-26" at the house after it was all said & done.

Thankfully we've broken out of the winter weather, at least for this week. It's light jacket weather here today (read, finally into the 40s) with no-jacket weather forecasted for later in the week (i.e. 2 digit temps that start with a 5). Of course, that doesn't mean winter is over. We could still get another storm through and pick up 12". I've had to shovel snow to get the cars out to go to church on Easter morning more than once.
