I know it's not numbers matching, nor the original color combination, but I like the looks, and for the most part, it appears it was "done right".

Couple of "flaws" I noticed off the bat: Looks like it's got "Road Runner" emblems on the quarter where they don't belong. Also has machine gun tips without the proper rear valance.

I'd like to get a closer look, but Parker CO is a long way from home.

Been looking for a four speed air grabber Road Runner. Saw this one on Ebay a few months ago, and now it's back. Bidding hit 25K at that time, which I felt was pretty close to the mark given current market conditions.

he doesnt give much of a description of what it looked like before the restoration.paint can cover alot of nightmares waiting to happen if the car wasnt solid. i think its sharp but without the fender tag how do you know what youre getting.seems kinda high priced but that just my opinion :D

I've requestied pictures documenting restoration work.

I know what a paint job can and can't hide.

I certainly don't intend to buy it off ebay. Barring meticulous documentation of the restoration, that car would merit a personal inspection.

It's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Apparently at least two people thought it was worth approximately $25K during the last go around. Personally, I'd have a tough time justifying significantly more than that.

That sure is a nice looking car!
With out the fender tag, the options on or original to the car are in question.
That being said it is an original RM23 car but sort of like a tribute Road Runner.
I personally LOVE the white interior and EV2 /w black canopy vinyl top and strobe stripe!!!!!!!
I WOULD HAVE ORDERED ONE NEW THIS WAY!!!!!!!
Wish my black bench auto were a 4-speed white bucket (and console) car like this!
VERY unusual to find a car with top/stripe and interior color like this even if it was created.
It just doesn't get any cooler than this ... but at 25K I think I could buy some new parts and get my car to look like that and have some money left in the bank.

Not necessarily an AC dash. Might be a "Stratoventilation" car.

I take back my previous statement. That is an AC dash (outboard vents).

Assuming the the car was clean and wreck free before the resto, I think $25k is a reasonable price... A clean '71 Satellite will fetch $3k or more and by the time you get the car to look like the one mentioned, you will easily have $25k plus into it, doing most of the work yourself! Not too mention, you now have a clone, whereas this car is a real RR... Lets say this car had the tag, and it was a factory 383 3-spd ac car with no other options, but in the same shape, how much would it be worth?

Just my two pennies :D

IMHO, unfortunately that car isn't worth $25K in today's market. The EV2 pilot car with the rear window louvers that has it's original fender tags recently sold for less and it had a rotisserie resto. I notice there are no photos of the underside of the ebay car. Also, the ebay car is not represented as a correct car, and it does have a LOT of incorrectly restored items. This car may not even be an original 4spd car. Just from looking at the pictures I have a feeling it has a cheap restoration. What am I talking about? A couple examples: the white upper door panels should have black inserts not white. My guess is someone just sprayed/dyed the original panels instead of spending the $$ to buy repops....you might find all black under those nice white panels. Another little item is the side markers. Notice they're painted black on the back side? Repops, white not completely correct would be better than those.
Not trying to tear the car apart, just giving examples of why I don't believe it's a $25K car in today's market.

The exhaust tips appear to be TTI 2.5" SS reproductions, fitting over the tail pipes and the use of SS band clamps. Protruding out a bit too far IMO.

Man... why did you have to bring that car up... I just couldn't get my duck in a row quick enough to get that one in my garage. That car should have brought more money. Seller just ran out of time and had to take what he could get.

Regarding the subject car... I tend to agree that $25K is probably top dollar in today's market.

Man I dig that color combination though.

I really like the car and combo and it has the familiar tell tale signs of an early build at the LA plant.
But as stated above there are things that need to be corrected if you are looking for a real correct car, I am not so picky..... Did anyone notice the broken stud on the wheel picture or have my eyes played tricks with me.
Also I won't list what I saw wrong, no need to but yes there are things not mentioned.....

i don't know much about "correct" cars, but just for my own information...on a white interior car, aren't the window trim pieces supposed to be white? the black looks bad imo

It's back.

Sold previously for $28700 by "Moparking(1)" out of Parker Colorado.

Now "djsupercar(0) " is selling it out of Parker CO.
