While checking out the option report, I noticed that there were a few '71 Plymouth B-bodies made with tilt steering, I never realized that was even an option in any other line than the C-bodies! Has anyone here on the Nest ever seen one optioned with it? 14 '71 road runners and 19 GTXs

I would love to find one if possible as that is the second option I want to add to my X (louvers being the other)

I knew it was an option on the Bs, and I've seen it on some four doors and wagons.
It is a column shift only option.

Came with a special steering wheel too (pretty ugly). As I recall, the column was a GM unit and the wheel hub was a different size, requiring a different wheel.

Yes, I believe this was a GM/Saginaw produced column and wheel.

Funny enough, I parted out a very rusty and original '70 383 2bbl Charger 10 years ago and that wheel was in the car, in fact, I may still have it in the attic... I assume that was also the '70 B-body rimblow wheel. Since my GTX is a factory tuff wheel car, I guess I'll leave the non-tilter in there as the required wheel is just ugly

They also came in 71-72 Chargers, usually S.E. models. You're pretty much forced to use the wheel that came on them or some other wheel from a tilt column like a later Cordoba. What makes it even trickier is that it's a RIMBLOW wheel with a unique switch. I bet an adapter could be fabbed to use a "normal" wheel.
At least the key goes in with the teeth up, as opposed to the upside-down GM way.

A tilt column was also available for the Challengers. I never seen one up until a few years ago. I bought a 78 Power Wagon years ago that had a tilt column in it. I don't think it was an option so i don't know if someone put it in or it was factory. It was a GM column but it didn't look hacked in.
