This is the Summit racing 2.5" header back kit with turbo mufflers - they're on sale right now for 175ish, so after S&H it was about $195. i'm pretty excited about this install 8)

I don't understand... does your dog really need dual exhaust?

He doesn't look too thrilled at the prospect of having that hooked up to his butt, does he? :D

got it on :D hardest part was taking the old stuff off! put on the pieces lightly clamp, get it allrun then hung the tailpipe using factory hangers, then clamped the rest tight starting at the front...may take the front pipes off eventually to add in a cross-over pipe, but it really is a great set-up...a little louder than i thought, but still pretty comfortable inside, no leaks, no clearance issues, and i used the factory dual exhaust hangers so i even have some spare parts

Does the kit have a turn down at the end of the tail pipe or straight? Any pics installed?
Thanks,
Ron

pipes exit straight-out...i haven't decided what i want to do, add turndowns, basic tips, repro tips, or do challenger tips (*i think the large rectangular shape would work well with the rear of the car).

here's a couple vids for sound, little louder than i expected, but it's a pretty nice sound.

and here's a couple pics, not the best - prior to making final adjustments to muffler, obviously

I listened to your new pipes and really like the tone.
The price really was great also. Thanks for posting the
video's.

i worried a little bit at first, because the system is specifically for Hooker Super-Comp headers, but when you look up super comps, there is an alternate part listed, which is the standard Hedman headers, which are only 160 or so - i got mine for $100 out-of-box never used :D

i too am really happy with the sound of the pipes - still considering adding in a cross-over pipe, possibly along with my plans to pull the motor and get it "worked over" this winter/spring '10 :stirpot:

Love the sound and tone of your new exhaust.

I called Summit yesterday and spoke with a technical rep about their exhaust kit and he stated that the exhaust kit had turn downs at the ends of the tail pipes. This was also indicated on the website pic. So I ordered the 2.5" kit from Jegs that has the straight tail pipes. I have ultraflo mufflers aready so I will see how it fits in the next week or so.

hmmm, that's strange, my pipes were straight out under the bumper, wonder why they told you that? the "summit" mufflers that come with the kit are actually IMCO...don't know anything about em, but i know that my company delivers a lot of them to shops in the midwest

I received my kit yesterday and it too is IMCO. Looks just like the kit in your post. I figured Jegs and Summit were using the same source for these kits. Went to have the pipes installed today, only to find out that I was shorted two pipes from Jegs. Bummer! Now waiting for the missing pipes to arrive.
